Holme Building Culture Tour

Event description

To celebrate its 150th anniversary, the USU is hosting a catered historical tour experience of Holme Building. Explore key moments and characters in the history of the men’s union, women’s union, and amalgamated union through a tour of one of the USU’s most iconic buildings. Complemented by period themed hors d'oeuvres inspired by actual early 20th century Union menus, this tour will focus on three rooms and will paint a sumptuous picture of the enduring presence of student unions on campus.

Meeting location: Holme Foyer, near the USU shop/Courtyard Cafe.

Limited spots available. RSVP required. If you can no longer attend this event, please get in contact with us (contact details can be found below).

Please note that as the canapes are inspired by historical USU menus, not all canapes will be suitable for vegetarian or vegan diets.

This Culture Tour involves walking up stairs. Please wear shoes suitable for walking. In the majority of rooms, seating will not be available unless requested.

When checking out, there will be an option to input access requirements; however if you would like to discuss access requirements in greater depth with staff, please feel free to email vergassistant[at]usu.edu.au or call at (02) 9563 6205.
