Holy F*ck, it's a book launch
Description
Ever struggled with your mental health? Passionate about supporting young people in our community? Join us for a night of networking, healing and celebration.
So many of us are going through things no-one knows about. Unfortunately, shame makes us feel the need to carry the weight alone. Life gets heavy and harder than we can handle.
Battling my own mental health demons in my teens and early twenties, I found it hard to see the support around me. Thankfully, it was always there.
I've found hope and healing on my own recovery journey thanks, in large part, to the support and care of people who stepped in to listen, lead and love me when I needed it most.
A word of encouragement, hug or story of our own experiences hold so much more value than we realize. They stoke the inner fire that lights our way out of darkness.
Let's join forces, share resources and shine our light for young people in our community and beyond. The more connected we are, the stronger the net of support those around us can fall into.
"When a woman’s pain becomes conscious, she can do something with it. She can use it to learn with, to grow strong with, to become a knowing woman. Over the long term, there will be even better news yet. That which has been given away can be reclaimed. It can be restored to its proper place in the psyche." Clarissa Pinkola Estes
About "Holy F*ck"
What if the seeds of who you're called to become, are buried in the past you're trying to avoid?
After struggling through domestic violence, sex addiction and an unplanned pregnancy in her teens, Jae met a woman in a nightclub whose invitation changed everything.
One of the gifts reckoning with my own mortality gives me
is the realization I can choose to keep living
nothing is forcing me
but living, isn’t just not dying
Will her longing to unleash herself be greater than her fear of what will happen when she does or will her dreams die with her, casualties of an irreconcilable inner conflict?
A heart-breaking, hopeful and shockingly honest memoir, Holy F*ck is a mirror for those ready to own the chaos they create, a tribute to the paths we’re all driven down out of pain and testament to the transformative power of faith.
Praise for Holy F*ck
“When I didn’t have the words to explain what I was feeling, you literally explained it so well. Your book makes me feel less alone, like I’m not the only one struggling.” Jemma
“I just finished the entire thing. Addictive is the best possible adjective. Also, may have shed a tear.” Tori
“I can’t put my computer away. The chaotic energy that surrounds the words is so much fun to be completely invested in.” Ruby

"I find myself wondering what the world would be like if it was compulsory for every twenty-something to spend six sessions with Jae (yes we’d need a whole lot more of her for starters). Imagine the potential, the drive, and the power of the next generation. Jae is, without a doubt, a life-changer and a world-changer and I’d strongly urge anyone and everyone to be a part of her movement." Eliza

“So deep and so beautiful. I’ve never read something like that before. It’s so unique and you get to the heart of the point. There were so many moments I’m like, ‘I know exactly what you’re talking about’...and probably have never been able to articulate it. You’re so brave and courageous and vulnerable.” Bec
