Event description

Holy Name of Mary Parish Hunters Hill Social Justice Event
The Social Justice Group invites you to an event to learn about the Voice to Parliament, in anticipation of the referendum later this year.

We are delighted to be joined by our guest speakers, Geoff Scott and Lisa Ogle. Geoff is a proud Wiradjuri man from Narromine in NSW with more than thirty years of experience working in Aboriginal Affairs. Geoff was the Executive Officer to the Referendum Council and was a key leader throughout the Uluru Dialogue process. Lisa worked for a decade as a solicitor, gained her Master’s degree in Public International Law, which was followed by a 15-year career in international law. Recently, Lisa has also worked with the Edmund Rice Centre on the creation of its community education materials on the Voice, including its Reconciliation Week Resource for Schools. She brings her experience in the law to reflect on the upcoming referendum.

Please join us for a light supper and an evening of discussion, Q&A and reflection.
