Holy Love / ENIGMA EP Launch
Event description
Get amongst the local live music scene at its best, with underground venue Knox Street Bar showcasing three incredible female solo artists this December.
Infusing elements of pop, electronica and moody soul, Russo, SelfDivision & Sela Moon each bring a unique sound and powerful stage presence that you won’t want to miss.
RUSSO
Hailing from western Sydney, Russo is harnessed with a magnetic and captivating stage presence. She’s performed in speakeasy burlesque bars to the stages at Big Day Out, wowing audiences with her effortless combination of Piaf-tinged old-world soul to sassy modern beats. Her songs range from pulsating synth-pop anthems to stormy and sultry dark RnB/soul ballads.
Russo has collaborated with some of the industry's freshest producers and beat makers such as Harts (Prince), and Neal Sutherland (Bertie Blackman, PVT, Sophia Lowe) and she’ll be performing songs from her recent EP titled HOLY LOVE, which saw her working with song writer/producer Scott Schinella, bringing her style to new realms.
SELFDIVISION
With her haunting voice and hypnotic melodies, SelfDivision, a Sydney-based singer, songwriter, and producer, is an emerging artist to keep your eye on. She explores electronica and trip-hop, delving into themes that interweave the natural world and relationships. Her music has drawn comparisons to influential artists like Portishead, Massive Attack, and Bjork. It's been a significant year for SelfDivision, marked by the release of two powerful singles in collaboration with veteran DnB producer Royalston. She is now set to launch her highly anticipated debut EP, 'ENIGMA.' This event will mark Sydney's first opportunity to witness her captivating and emotionally charged solo live show.
SELA MOON
Sela Moon is a Tongan songstress, producer and songwriter hailing from Sydney's Inner West. Growing up in an eclectic environment of musical tastes and cultures, she’s taken her time to craft her own blend of moody rnb, with an alternative bounce. Earlier this year she was invited to take part in a world-renowned songwriting camp created by ApraAmcosxSonghubs. There she further refined her songwriting, collaborating with other prolific artists in Sydney. This opportunity has increased her passion for playing original works and she will be kicking the night off with some of her freshest work.
