Ballroom is a safe space created in the 1960's, forged by the Black, Latinx and queer Americans in protest against the racism and queerphobia that they faced from the non-queer community and white queer community. It is a space held to protect trans womxn of colour, so as guests and participants within this culture it is imperative that we all do our best to respect and honour this sacred space. • OTA = Open to All, not limited to a specific gender identity/expression, or category style.

• SHAKE VS SHAKE = We wanna see you shake that ass, shake that hair, shake those thighs. We want to see why YOU have the best shake.

• FACE = Serve FACE, highlighting your structure, eyes, teeth, skin and nose. Makeup allowed.

• BODY =The ability to sell your confidence in yourself, specifically through your body (not through sex appeal).

• PERFORMANCE = Performing and battling in a style of Vogue (Old Way, New Way, or Vogue Fem).
