    Event description

Composting is an awesome life-skill anyone who eats food should know.

It helps reduce your household's rubbish, keep methane out of landfill, make soil healthier, grow good food, and store carbon in the ground. It's a way to take climate action in your backyard!

The brilliant Kate Walmsley from Kaicycle's city-wide composting initiative will be guiding this home composting workshop.

We'll cover how to make healthy, balanced, and predator-free compost from food scraps, garden bits, and other free ingredients. Then we will build some demo compost together.

Bust any myths you've heard about how to manage your home compost bin!

Bring all your compost questions and stories, and maybe even some of your workplace food scraps.
