Sat, 15 Mar, 9am - 12pm AEDT

Event description

Kitchen and garden waste are a large portion of what many households throw into their home garbage bins. This workshop will teach you how to take these simple and free raw materials and turn them in to beautiful 'black gold' to feed the garden and help the environment. There will be both a theory and practical element to the workshop. We encourage everyone to get their hands dirty (but this is not essential).

Very experienced educators will guide you through the composting process making this workshop suitable for both beginners and experienced gardeners/composters.

Bring your own gloves, waterbottle, hat and sunscreen.

Please note: There is a minimal cost for this workshop to cover the costs of morning tea and encourage attendance following registration. The cost is meant to encourage attendance, not make it difficult - please get in contact with the event organiser at email: environment@cessnock.nsw.gov.au, if the cost of the event is an issue for you.
