Event description

Get ready for a fun architect-led workshop just for kids, where we'll explore the incredible world of regenerative design!

Join the Australian Institute of Architects in ArchiEd – an initiative all about sharing a love of design and architecture with students!

We want to show kids we can do better than create cities that are sustainable – we can create cities that give back to the environment and the community.

In this exciting hands-on workshop, we'll dive into seven special elements that will help us become nature's best buddies (taken from the Living Building Challenge) – place, water, energy, health + happiness, materials, equity, and beauty.

The kids will break into teams to tackle a theme of their choice, exploring the surroundings, speaking with experts and coming back together to show us how they can make Adelaide the best place to live.

They will cut, draw, stick, build and create the city of the future and together, we'll figure out how to transform it into a home that gives back and helps our planet thrive. Let's become champions of regeneration and show the world how awesome kids can help us make a difference!

This workshop is aimed at years 4 – 6 (ages 9 – 13)

Please purchase tickets for participants only.
