A Panel of Dangerous Ideas
Bringing together WAs biggest change makers and advocates to talk about the actions it would take to end homelessness.
This cross sector panel will be an inspiring and provocative opportunity to round out Homelessness Week, delving into what it would take to end homelessness.
We’ll hear from some of WA’s incredible changemakers and advocates - sharing real life examples of what they’re doing right now, what they want to see more of, what they need to achieve change - and the dangerous ideas they want to put forward in an election year.
Community Catalysts; Collective Action for Change
Learn how our grant recipients (supported by Lotterywest) are already trialling ideas, collaborating with and inspiring others (taking action) to end homelessness in their community.
Grant Review Panel Member, Reece Davis (Youth Advocate for YHAC and Lived Experience role on WA Alliance Steering Committee) will be sharing how the grant program has already inspired ‘action’ to end homelessness and will lead the conversation as they share their events and programs and explore what still needs to happen to end homelessness.
Meet the speakers and panellists here.
A photographer will be present at the event but will check with you before taking a photo. You are welcome to say you would prefer not to be included and this will be respected. Photos may be used in our social media, on the Shelter WA website and in our marketing, e-newsletters and annual reports. There may be some whole of event photos taken from behind that will not identify individuals.
Are you attending with a support worker? Please ask them to register separately so that we provide enough seating and catering for everyone attending the event in person. When registering your support worker you can use Support Worker in place of their name for registration purposes.
If you plan to attend more than one Shelter WA event, please note that registrations are required for each individual event hosted across Homelessness Week.
Be part of the final conversations that will shape our collective action going forward. Reserve your spot now and contribute to a meaningful change!
We look forward to welcoming you soon,
The Shelter WA Homelessness Week event team
