Event description
Bug Bonanza! Let's bug out!
Join the Homeschool Science Club for an exciting, hands-on adventure into the amazing world of insects and arachnids! Students will explore how to identify common bugs, uncover their unique adaptations, and learn about the important roles these creatures play in our ecosystems. We’ll collect and observe specimens in the field, then bring them back for a closer look under magnifiers and microscopes. From beetles and butterflies to ants and grasshoppers, participants will get an up-close view of the incredible diversity of the insect world. This program combines science, discovery, and fun—perfect for curious learners ready to “bug out” with us!
Homeschool Science Club explores scientific and natural concepts through games, crafts, and activities encouraging students to be active outdoors. Guardians are responsible for identifying the learning maturity of their child. Please note the location of this session as they occur at different preserves. Reservations Required. Program recommended for students ages 7-13. Don't forget to register for the Waiting List if program is at capacity!
