David McBride stood for the truth. He went to prison for it.

In 2016 he gave the ABC the documents behind The Afghan Files. In May 2024 the ACT Supreme Court sentenced him to five years and eight months in prison. He left prison on parole on 13 August 2026, after serving 27 months.

Join us in Sydney as David receives a special award for his courage and sacrifice.
