Hootenanny at the Hall
Event description
HOOTENANNY AT THE HALL
The immeasurable amount of devastation that has been sweeping across the country with the 2019/20 Australian bushfires has been hard to fathom. Wiping out lives, homes and many countless species of native flora and fauna.
Something so unimaginably destructive and wildly out of control, that has done so much damage, in such a small amount of time will take years to rebuild, in a physical and mental sense. Those affected by the horrific blazes will still need help to get back onto their feet. We have the ability and a responsibility to come together and help out where we can.
A few volunteering locals have been brewing up some brainstorms and conjured up “Hootenanny at the hall.”
This little one day festival of sorts will be held on Saturday, April 25th in a quaint historic building known as The Moornagag Hall – featuring homemade wares to gander at, food to fill bellies, and a bar with tasty beverages. Local and Melbourne based acts will be playing from the afternoon into the eve with ticket proceeds going toward community and wildlife organisations that have been affected by the blazes.
There is also camping available at the venue so bring your tents and spare pegs! It’s going to a marvelously wholesome little event folks, so bring your loves and your Mums.
