PHOENIX Professional Development and Prevention Services (PDP) is focused on “Creating Compassionate Communities” by enhancing the knowledge of professionals and the community more broadly about the impact of interpersonal violence and how the resulting trauma influences behaviour. Concepts of accountability, self-regulation, compassion, safety, and trauma informed approaches underpin the work.
PHOENIX PDP Services are auspiced by PHOENIX Support and Advocacy Service a not-for-profit charity and counselling service that advocates for increased understanding of childhood trauma and the impact of child sexual abuse on individuals, families, and the whole community and the benefits of early intervention and prevention.
