Understanding IPV Typologies and Identifying the Primary Aggressor. This one-day workshop introduces two key typologies of partner violence:
- Michael Johnson’s IPV Typology (coercive control model)
- Holtzworth-Munroe & Stuart’s Perpetrator Typology (psychological traits model)
Learn to distinguish patterns of violence, identify the level of risk present, and make evidence-informed decisions in complex FDV cases to maximise safety.

✔️ Comprehensive resource pack includedOUR TRAINER: Dawson Ruhl has been an advocate for women and children impacted by family and domestic violence (FDV) for more than 30 years. Dawson is recognised in the field as a domestic violence ‘content expert’. Integral to Dawson’s work has been his involvement in addressing Aboriginal family violence. This has involved consulting and partnering with Aboriginal organisations in the Kimberley region with the aim of developing culturally informed multi-agency collaborative initiatives and building workforce capacity. Dawson has been a strong male voice advocating for change in the underlying attitudes and the structural inequities that support gendered violence.
