Work in teams to solve fictional patient cases. Identify red-flag symptoms, consider risk factors and decide what should happen next. Can your team crack the case?

Learn what the gut microbiome is, why it matters and how everyday factors such as diet and lifestyle can affect gut health.

🧭 Getting to the Venue
The Old Howard Florey Laboratories is located within the University of Melbourne’s Parkville Campus, in the Medical/Health Sciences precinct.
From Grattan Street:
Enter the Parkville Campus and follow signs towards the Medical/Health Sciences precinct and Building 183.
From Royal Parade:
Enter the campus and follow signage towards Medical Road and the medical buildings.
By tram:
Tram services operate along Royal Parade and Grattan Street. From the nearest stop, allow approximately 5–10 minutes to walk across campus.
Once you reach Building 183:
Enter the Old Howard Florey Laboratories, head to the Ground Floor, and follow signs for Room G20.
Look out for Gut Health Workshop & Talk signage and event volunteers who will be available to help with directions.
