ASME Vic is the Victorian Chapter of the national Australian Society for Music Education.
The purpose of ASME Vic is to encourage and advance music education at all levels as an integral part of general education and community life, and as a profession within the broad field of music. ASME Vic supports professional growth in music education and fosters the exchange of ideas and research. The organisation encourages the use of emerging technologies and innovative teaching methods, celebrates Australian music and composers, and promotes the country’s rich diversity of musical traditions.
