About the Australian Pasifika Educators Network (APEN)
The Australian Pasifika Educators Network (APEN) is a national, community-led network committed to advancing educational equity, access, and success for Pacific learners across Australia.
Founded in 2022, APEN brings together educators, researchers, students, and community leaders working across schools, universities, government, and community organisations. The network creates spaces for connection, professional learning, and collective action grounded in Pacific values, knowledge systems, and ways of being.
APEN’s work spans advocacy, research, and program delivery, with a strong focus on culturally responsive practice, community partnership, and systems change. Through events, initiatives, and national collaborations, APEN supports Pacific learners, families, and communities to navigate and thrive within the education system while strengthening the visibility and influence of Pacific voices in policy and practice.
At its core, APEN is about connection, culture, and collective impact — working together to shape more equitable futures for Pacific communities in Australia.
