Morag at Beingmore
Morag is a local yoga teacher, meditator, mother of two young adults, and an engineer by profession. She is passionate about yoga, meditation and breathwork, especially the gentle style of yoga called DRU yoga.
She has been teaching yoga and meditation since 2006
Morag was drawn to Dru Yoga,in her twenties as an effective way of managing her own stress levels when she was juggling her corporate career and motherhood. It had such a profound effect on her health and sense of wellbeing that she wanted to share it with her friends and family, and so she trained as a Dru yoga teacher.
Dru Yoga is fondly nicknamed “yoga of the heart”. It has a subtle yet powerful way of unlocking the heart and helping you connect to the qualities of love, joy, compassion, gratitude. It was this special “heart opening quality” that drew Morag to become a Dru Yoga teacher. Since 2016 she has touched the hearts of hundreds of people in her classes, workshops, in the workplace, schools and individual in her private coaching sessions.
“Dru” is a Sanskrit word which means “still point” ........ and Morag’s aim is to help her clients find their own inner calm, inner still point.
She is also a qualified Transpersonal Coach, Breathwork Coach, Reiki Healer and specialises in Trauma sensitive yoga and yoga for back care.
A life long learner she is currently studying the ancient art and modern science of Ayurveda. She blends these modalities to create highly effective wellbeing solutions in 3 specific areas:
1. Stress Buster Yoga in the local community – Morag provides a safe and welcoming space for people to “press the pause button” on their busy lives. 2. Teens and Young Professionals– Morag is passionate about giving young people the life skills and tools to lead a balanced, authentic and healthy life. She recognises that today’s young adults are under lots of pressure to study and achieve good exam results and find a successful career. Her fun and gentle classes encourage self-care, self-confidence and healthy lifestyle choices. She is current building a program for young professionals to help them lead from the heart and not burnout.
3. Wellbeing in the corporate space – Morag brings the benefits of yoga, mindfulness and healing therapies to the workplace to help staff manage stress and reduce back pain. With her amazing corporate recharge therapy, she supports frazzled execs to quickly and effectively recharge, restore and relax, so they have the energy and concentration to be effective and “heart-felt” in their work.
