For three generations, the Valerius family has believed that the story comes first. Led by Creative Director and sculptor Kim May and Master sculptor and craftsman Carl Valerius, creator of Bill the Bastard, Val May Studio brings together decades of creativity, traditional craftsmanship and storytelling.
Carl and Kim bring more than artistic skill to their workshops. They share decades of real-world experience, practical knowledge, stories, humour and a deep understanding of materials and making.
Their workshops are about getting hands-on, having fun and exploring your creativity and discovering how an idea, memory or feeling can become something tangible.
