Event description

A documentary premiere highlighting the birth of Auspicious Victory, a decentralised artist at the intersection of activism, health, and technology.

"Hostile Body” is a documentary that explores the impact of mental and physical health on art, and how technology is being used to create a new era of decentralised art. The film follows the creation of the Hostile Body exhibition by Auspicious Victory, an anonymous artist who draws from personal experiences with chronic illness and mental health issues to create thought-provoking multimedia installations.

The film delves into the creative process of Auspicious Victory, showcasing how the artist's experiences with illness have influenced their work. It also examines how the art world is changing, with young crypto enthusiasts helping to set up a DAO (Decentralised Autonomous Organization) for future artists who can then inhabit the persona of Auspicious Victory.

As the exhibition takes shape, the film captures the behind-the-scenes work of curators, technicians, and designers as they bring Auspicious Victory's vision to life. The documentary also features interviews with artists, curators, and mental health professionals, providing insights into the intersection of art, health, and technology.

"Hostile Body" is a powerful and thought-provoking exploration of the role that art can play in destigmatising mental and physical illness, and the potential of new technologies to transform the art world.
