Need a warm, musical, COVID-safe hug? Yyan and Emily, with special guest Georgia Shine, have just the sonic embrace for you. At the forefront of contemporary violin, guitar and cello performance, their music has been described as an ‘intricate, complex but warm-hug kind of experience’.Yyan Ng and Emily Sheppard write music collaboratively, inspired by their Tasmanian island home. Pioneering a range of alternative tunings and techniques, they create shimmering, visual worlds through their unique harmonic language, inspired partly by impressionist chordal forms. Expect re-tuned violin, viola, cello and guitar behind ethereal vocals.
