Open Mic Poetry @ The House
Event description
From 6:30 PM the 3rd Saturday of every even month (Feb, April, June, etc…) The House Co-Creation Hub puts on its Open Mic Poetry!
This event encourages Geelong’s poets to get up on our modest, cozy stage and perform their work for a friendly and supportive crowd. Tea, coffee, & snacks are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own alcohol into the space.
Read as many poems as you like (as long as there’s room!). You can read poem you wrote yourself, or read a poem by another author which you want to share.
Come and be an audience member, or write your name down on the night to perform!
This event coincides with The House’s community art shows - so you can view some art, read some poetry, and sit down for a chat with creative peers.
The House is a no-expectations environment which supports all people: women, the LGBTIQA+ community, CALD people, people living with disability, and even nerds.
Hope to see you there!
