Have you ever wanted to know how you can approach, speak to, and support someone in your workplace, team or personal life who you suspect may be experiencing mental distress?
Helping you ask "How Are You Really?"
Presented by Bel Ryan from Ignite Wellbeing Co, this half-day, interactive session focuses on how you can go beyond asking "Are you ok?" and instead approach people and ask the hard, tricky and sometimes confronting questions.
Using her trademark trauma-informed practice, lived experience, experiential learning, and engaging style Bel will guide you to compassionately and effectively ask the questions needed to support vulnerable people in your community, workplace, club, education setting, or accessing your business or services. Including;
- Recognising common signs that indicate someone may be experiencing mental distress
- Preparing yourself mentally and emotionally to ask valuable questions
- Knowing how to ask big and important questions calmly and confidently
- Formulating ways to hold space, build trust and respond compassionately and appropriately
- Learning where and how to access immediate and/or ongoing support and services
- Exploring practical actions you can take to create a genuine culture of positive wellbeing in your organisationx
- Ensuring your wellbeing is also a priority when looking after others
