How design thinking can improve your organisation's social impact
Event description
Today, not for profit organisations and social enterprises that don’t focus on the needs of their customers, clients or the people they serve, quickly become irrelevant. Most people will agree with this statement, but few know how to effectively put this into practice.
This interactive 2 hour workshop, is designed to help senior leaders within social or environmental impact organisations like you, learn a new methodology that will enable you to bridge the gap between your goals and the needs of the people you serve to help. Â
Using Human Centred Design, we will show you how to understand what truly is important to the users of your service or product, and then how to involve your team to develop innovative new ideas to solve these problems.
The workshop will cover the following;
- What is the Human Centred Design methodology
- Case studies into how the methodology has been used successfully in similar organisations in the past
- Examples of how Human Centred Design can be applied to your organisation
- Interactive learning about the basics of key tools and processes
Outcomes for participants
- A foundational understanding of the Human Centred Design methodology
- New ideas on how this could be applied to your organisation’s problems
- The ability to help others in your teams implement some of these tools
- 1 x 30 minute coaching session after the workshop with Impacto, to help you implement some of these practices
The workshop is presented by Tracey Newman from Impacto, a social impact consulting business whose purpose is to help purpose driven organisations accelerate their social impact, by helping them get closer to the people they serve.
