Event description

Join botanist Dr Gillian Craig and visit a number of vegetation types that have been recently burnt and explain the different strategies that native plants use to regenerate after fire.

Dr Gillian is a well know botanist who has carried out many flora surveys in this region and along the east south coast of WA. Gillian has been an active member and current president of the Friends of the Fitzgerald River NP. A passionate and loyal botanist who is also the author of Native Plants of the Ravensthorpe Region, a popular handy field book. 

What to bring: Snacks, water, hat, sunscreen, sturdy boots or shoes and clothing that will withstand the environment that may have charred and scorched ground.

Meet 9:45 for 10am start  Ravensthorpe Town  Hall / Bus to site return 12:30pm
