How fun is it to be a game developer right now? And what's the story with games journalism?
Event description
Join Hacks/Hackers Brisbane for our next event with game developer Luke Muscat and Dr Brendan Keogh from QUT where we'll ask them these questions and more.
Luke Muscat has been a game developer for 16 years and his first solo indie work, Feed the Deep, was released last year. Luke is probably best known for the hugely popular games Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride. He also has a YouTube channel, where he posts about his process, the challenges he faces and things he learned along the way.
Dr Brendan Keogh is an associate professor at QUT's School of Communication and a Chief Investigator in the Digital Media Research Centre. He studies video games and their cultural impact, and is also a game developer himself. He's written extensively for both domestic and international publications.
