Have you heard of prestigious prizes like the Prime Minsters Prize for Science, The Eureka Prizes, Tall Poppy awards, iAwards, UNseco Loreal awards, or others, and wondered "how do I get one of those?" or "why do people even bother applying for those?" or "could I ever get an award like that...?" If so, then this session is for you.

In this session - convened by Professor Liz Harry (Chair of the UTS Prizes and Awards Advisory Committee) - you will hear from UTS research leaders Professor Fang Chen, Professor Saba Bebawi and Professor Igor Aharonovich about their experience with prestigious prizes and awards. You will hear about their motivations for applying for awards and what prizes and awards have meant for their careers. You will have plenty of opportunity to ask your own questions about prizes and awards to the contributors.
