    Arminé Nalbandian

    Arminé Nalbandian
    Arminé is the Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Social Impact. She is a public policy leader who has spent her career advising governments and for-purpose organisations on social policy and economic development strategies. Most recently, she was Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of Policy to the New South Wales Premier and has worked with organisations such as the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia and the NSW Aboriginal Land Council. Arminé is a US Fulbright Scholar and graduated summa cum laude as a Presidential Scholar from Northeastern University in Boston. She also holds a Master of Science in International Development from the London School of Economics as a Luys Scholar, and a Master of Commerce in Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the University of Sydney as a Business Leaders Scholar.

    Maree Sidey

    Maree Sidey
    Maree joined Philanthropy Australia as CEO in June 2024, following nine years as CEO of Australian Communities Foundation (ACF). She has served on the Board of Community Foundations of Australia, Australian Progress, Philanthropy Australia and the Confident Girls Foundation, and has recently been appointed to the Board of WINGS, the global network of philanthropy support and development organisations. Prior to her time in philanthropy Maree held executive roles in some of Australia’s leading NGOs including, the Alcohol and Drug Foundation, headspace and Orygen youth health. She started her career as a social worker in family services at Berry Street. Her contributions to the For Purpose sector have been recognised by Fellowships & Scholarships from: the Centre for Social Impact (2017), the Harvard Club of Australia (2014), and Chief Executive Women (2012). She holds an MBA specialising in Social Impact from UNSW and has completed the Harvard Strategic Leadership Course for Non-Profit Leaders.

    Peter Leaversuch

    Peter Leaversuch
    Peter was appointed CEO of the Royal Life Saving Society WA in 2015. The appointment was the culmination of 20 years working in the community recreation sector predominately at Royal Life Saving but also at the Department of Sport and Recreation and the Leisure Institute of Western Australia. Peter is particularly passionate about advancing services in remote aboriginal communities, as well as increasing community access to water safety education for at-risk and vulnerable populations. Peter has a Bachelor of Economics at the University of WA, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Social Impact at the UWA Business School in 2019. He is a Life Member of the Leisure Institute of WA and Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club where he currently volunteers.

    Carman Wilson

    Carman Wilson
    With over 25 years of experience in the social services sector in Australia and the UK, ranging from health, early childhood, disability services and housing, Carman has extensive knowledge and understanding of the key strategic and operational challenges and opportunities the social services sector face. As a CPA-qualified accountant, she brings financial expertise and understanding to her roles and is interested in understanding the social implications that broader policy directives have on individuals and communities. Carman completed the Graduate Certificate In Social Impact at Flinders University in 2024 along with continuing to study a Bachelor of Psychological Science and Sociology and her in current role of COO at the Alliance to End Homelessness she uses a collective impact approach to working with communities across Australia to end homelessness.

    Suzanne Findlay

    Suzanne Findlay
    Since joining Sacred Heart Mission as the Manager of Social Impact and Growth in July 2017, Suzanne has negotiated Victoria’s first social impact investment and its payment by results extension, using her experiences in AustralianSuper’s infrastructure investment team and as a consultant. Suzanne is a co-author of AHURI reports on Social Impact Investing, Homelessness and Affordable Housing and worked on the 2016 and 2018 Benchmarking Impact Reports on impact investing in Australia. She holds a Master of Science (Mathematics) from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Social Investment and Philanthropy from Swinburne University of Technology.
