Event description
How to Be a Beginner: A Workshop Series on Expanding Your Capacity for the Unknown
We are living in a time of great uncertainty. Change—both personal and collective—is happening at an overwhelming pace, and the ability to navigate the unknown has never been more essential. But newness, whether chosen or unexpected, can bring discomfort, self-doubt, and hesitation. How do we stay present when so much feels uncertain?
This ongoing workshop series is designed to help you expand your capacity for new experiences by strengthening your ability to meet change with curiosity, steadiness, and trust in yourself. Each session explores a key aspect of navigating the beginner’s experience—from recognizing your nervous system’s response to uncertainty and increasing your tolerance for discomfort to distinguishing between fear and intuition and cultivating self-compassion in moments of transition.
Through guided reflection and somatic awareness practices, you’ll develop the inner resources to move through the unknown with greater ease. Over time, you’ll discover that being a beginner isn’t just something to endure—it’s a skill that can deepen your resilience, creativity, and connection to yourself.
Throughout the sessions in this ongoing series, you won’t just learn to tolerate the unknown—you’ll build the inner trust to engage with it fully.
