Event description
How to Be a Beginner: A Monthly Somatic Workshop Series
Being a beginner isn’t just about learning something new, it’s about being in that uncomfortable space of not knowing. That in-between place where something is shifting, but it’s not clear yet what’s coming next.Whether you’re in a moment of change, facing uncertainty, or simply trying to stay present with what’s real in your day-to-day life, this series is here to help.
Each workshop offers a mix of guided reflection, body-based practice, and real-time noticing. You’ll learn how to recognize the subtle cues your body gives you—signals that show up as tension, stillness, breath, movement, sensation, image, etc.—and start to understand what they’re pointing to.
This work will help you:
Build trust in your own experience
Work with fear and hesitation
Get more comfortable with discomfort
Stay grounded in moments of uncertainty
Develop a steadier relationship with your body
This is healing work, but it’s also deeply practical. It gives you tools to meet whatever’s showing up in your life by slowing down and listening rather than pushing through.
Being a beginner isn’t something to get over or resist. It’s a skill and a way of being with yourself that opens up more choice, more clarity, and more connection.
