Join ecologist Ray Barnett for a hands on introduction to moth identification. Discover how to find moths near you, meet the amazing species living in your area, and learn why these nighttime insects are crucial for healthy ecosystems.

Find this event in the "How-to" Talks Tent, which is part of the Festival of Nature's Wild Weekend at Millennium Square.

Tickets to this talk are free, but places are limited, so booking is recommended. If you book and can no longer attend, please let us know, so that we can give your ticket to someone else.

  • There is level access to the "How-To..." talks tent in Millennium Square and across Millennium Square. 

  • Seating is available in the tent. 

  • Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome in this space, but please be warned it may get hot in the tent. 

  • Please let us know if you need to reserve a seat at the front of the talk when you are purchasing your ticket. 

  • There are accessible toilets at the event.

  • The closest car park is Millennium Square car park, which has lifts and spaces for blue badge holders.

  • There are no hearing loops on site.

Cycling - There are cycle parking facilities located around Millennium and Anchor Square. Plan your cycle route visit.

Public transport - The nearest bus stop is Anchor Road, which is located a 0.1 mile walk from Millennium Square.

The nearest train station is Bristol Temple Meads, which is located 1 mile from the square.

Driving - The nearest car park is Millennium Square Car Park.

This car park also includes disabled parking next to the main vehicular/pedestrian entrance and lifts.

Please note that this event takes place within Bristol's Clean Air Zone. If you are driving to the event we advise you to check the Bristol Council website before travelling, or where possible take active travel or public transport.
