Event description

Local wildflowers can make beautiful pot plants. Learn which ones to choose and how to grow them.

Our enthusiastic presenters, local plant lovers, Rachel and Mike Green, will show you which local plants grow well in pots and where to get them, the best pots available, possible pot placement, watering and dripper choices, fertiliser needs, soil types, and even propagation tips and slug management. All accompanied by superb photographs and videos and lively interactions.

Rachel and Mike only have a small garden but they supplement it with over 210 pots of all shapes and sizes including 60+ with wicking beds. They grow glorious displays of local wildflowers and plants in them and Gardening Australia has filmed their garden for broadcast this year. They're that good!
Whether you have a courtyard, patio or small garden, discover how to grow beautiful local wildflowers in pots and bring more colour to your home.
