How to Manage Speaking Nerves for the Overly Anxious

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Do you ever struggle with nerves, or perhaps even feeling "hyper-aroused" when you first start public speaking?

Are you wanting some strategies to help better manage this?

Perhaps you've also been to professional speaking training events, to learn the fundamentals of state management techniques you can use to better manage nerves? (Or are curious to attend such trainings?) But might be concerned about whether there is room and or strategy to help you with what feels like stronger than normal anxiety, or perhaps a known history of mental health or PTSD?) And you'd like to know how to apply these state management techniques, to your specific circumstance, and you personally?

After over a decade of both trauma informed Counselling and Coaching Practice, plus having trained and worked with multiple Organisations that provide various aspects of Professional Speaking Training, i would say that there is another step, and a missing puzzle piece so to speak for managing hyper-arousal, that fits in neatly with the state management techniques that most leading speaking trainers and training organisations teach to help you get on top of nerves, that needs to also be integrated.

In this 45 min webinar, i'll give you an outline of what that step is.

Thus, this short info session will provide a very brief overview/recap of some of the universal human practices that most of us can successfully apply to manage nerves and gain better control of our state when speaking, followed by a more detailed overview of some specific modifications that can be included for people who struggle a little bit more with hyper-arousal, anxiety and or mental health.

OUTCOMES FROM ATTENDING:

So that participants who attend will be better able to:

-Be more confident in their abilities as a Speaker

-Stay grounded in, connected to and share from their inner authority

-Be more present and better able to both be of service AND create a magical dynamic of engagement in the room. And thus

-Achieve better outcomes, relative to the reason/s one is speaking or presenting.

(The next step beyond this session would then be to continue on to implementing this step in private session work, with a preferred, suitably qualified Practitioner.)
