Event description

What does Neuroscience say about the below?

  • Why does a colleague's feeling low/sad, make you sad too or maybe they are actually giggling – and you roll out in laughter too randomly, without know the reason? Ever wondered why?
  • ‘Change’ is all around us currently esp. in Wellington – but ever wondered why is ‘Change’ sooo hard?
  • Why do we feel tired while learning or maybe when taking a brand-new route to somewhere we’re traveling to?
  • What is ‘brain-heart connection’? Is there more to a link between all these fancy terms of ‘Resilience’, ‘Well-being’ – and our actual physical health?
  • Is your brain still the same as what it was 10 years or 20 years ago or has something evolved?

About Shweta

Shweta Sharma describes herself as a simple 'human' with over a decade of leadership experience, most recently at MSD, as a Technology People Leader.

She has two mantras in life: "Energy and emotions are contagious" and "be ruthless with systems, but kind to people". She lives and breathes the values of Humanistic and Adaptive leadership; "leading with brain, but heart as an accomplice".

Shweta is currently studying neuroleadership - applied neuroscience, and is passionate about emotions, energy, the brain-heart connection and how it transcends into our life experiences, both professionally and personally. Not just our own, but also for those around us.

Sheta also holds a Bachelors in Commerce and a PG in Public Relations, and has a strong background in corporate intercultural communications, employee engagement and capability development. Her true passion lies in mentoring and empowering others to achieve their full potential.
