    Event description

    WORKSHOP 2!

To coincide with the release of our new Compost and Worm Farm rebates, the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is pleased to be able to bring you the How To Reduce Your Food Waste Through Worm Farms workshop! This workshop is FREE and we have the most amazing guest presenter for the night - Peg Davies.

Peg is a waste educator with more than 13 years of experience in teaching local governments, schools and the community about waste avoidance, and she has spent much of her life encouraging others to "rethink waste". You can find out more about Peg on her website - https://www.lessenwithpeg.com - or check out her appearance on Gardening Australia!

Peg will be hosting this one-hour workshop where she will teach you how to get the most from your worm farm and share her hot tips on reducing food waste. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and pick Peg's brain about all things waste reduction, compost, worm farms, bokashi bins and more. The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Waste & Sustainability team and the Community Garden crew will also be on hand to answer any questions.

The workshop is free to attend. Light refreshments will be provided. A compost fact sheet will be available but please also bring a notebook if you would like to take notes.

If you have any questions about the workshop please call the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder waste team on 08 9021 9600.

*Please note* You are welcome to register for both workshops - Composting and Worm Farms. Some of the content will be the same, but much of it will be different.
