    How to spend less time on technical debt and more on features customers love

    Wednesday, 23 June 2021, 10:00am - 12:00pm 

    Recommended for senior business, product and technical staff, this workshop will provide a high-level overview of ‘technical debt’, how to spend less time on it, and how to refocus on creating features that customers love. This workshop will be predominantly business specific and not overly technical.

    We’ll cover the following topics:

    • Why you should care about technical debt.
    • The different types of technical debt and some common misconceptions.
    • How technical debt impacts your business.
    • The implications of technical debt and why you need to address it, including examples of ‘technical debt horror stories’, as well as businesses that have successfully tackled it.
    • Repaying your technical debt. Common patterns for technical debt remediation and how to have effective prioritisation discussions around repaying technical debt.
    • Take control of your technical debt. How to identify technical debt and how this will help you manage your technical debt in the future.
    • How to use technical debt as a valuable tool and how good practices can keep your technical debt in check
