A few days before Renew's national Sustainable House Day, we're bringing you an event on the economics of sustainable homes.

Weighing up the costs and benefits of a more sustainable home - Architect Timo Bleeker, based in the Margaret River region, will talk us through the economics and benefits of using the energy-efficient Passivhaus principles in your new home.

Financing sustainable homes - We'll play you an exclusive video interview with Marisa Hoffenberg, a Green Home Loans broker, discussing how to get a discount on your mortgage by including sustainable features.

How investing in sustainability can slash your energy bills - Wendy Lugg has been enjoying her passive solar home for several years now, built on a tight budget to replace her previous house which had become structurally unsafe. She will share her new home's dramatic savings in costs and energy, showing that good design can make a huge difference even on a low budget.

    Thurs 1 May 2025, 6-8pm

Binjar Room, City of Melville EcoHub, 555 Leach Highway, Winthrop WA 6150
