Event description

This International Women’s Day 2025, join fellow climate and gender activists for an engaging event on how to have positive grassroots conversations about climate action.

As showcased in the two previous Women at the Table on Climate Change events, gender inequality coupled with the climate crisis is one of the greatest challenges of our time. So how do we keep women at the table on climate change? How do we raise awareness of the climate crisis and its known impact on women and children? What does our location in the Pacific mean for our role in climate action? What can we do to make climate action accessible to others?

Come along to hear from fantastic speakers about their experiences within grassroots campaigns and what lessons we could apply to a climate action movement through a gender lens. There will be a chance for open discussion after the presentations, followed by an outcomes-focussed workshop session.

Light refreshments will be provided. Please register so we get an indication of numbers.

This event is the third in a series around Women at the Table on Climate Change. Thank you to the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for their generous sponsorship. This series is a collaboration between National Council of Women New Zealand, Council for International Development, and UN Women Aotearoa New Zealand.
