Description

How to Write a Novel (Without Getting Stuck)

When:  Oct 15th
Times:   10 am–3pm
Where: The Old School Room @ Kickstart Arts
Who: 12-15 years old

*Please note these activities are for young people only. Parents are welcome to stay and observe. You do not need a ticket to do so, but we kindly request you let us know in advance.

About the workshop: Every great novel starts with a character readers care about. In this hands-on workshop for writers aged 12-15, participants will learn how to create compelling characters, build believable worlds, and shape stories that keep readers turning pages.

What will I learn? Through games, collaborative activities and guided writing exercises, they'll explore story structure, conflict, motivation and plotting before beginning a story of their own.

What do I need to bring?. Please bring a water bottle and a packed lunch.

What will I take home? Whether they dream of writing novels, fanfiction or comics, participants will leave with practical storytelling tools, greater confidence, and a clear roadmap for continuing their project beyond the workshop.
