    Event description

From idea, to execution, to finding an agent - this course covers it all.

Using his own journey to publication as inspiration (and others!), in this course Ben Hobson will take participants through their manuscript, giving them ideas and tools in order to develop the best version of what they have. Then, we'll talk about possible outcomes for publication, and what type of mindset is required to take a novel from idea, all the way through to receiving those first reviews!

    Learning Outcomes

    Find out more about:

    • Taking ideas from your mind, to the page
    • Investigating, and elevating, every moment of prose
    • Learning quickly from mistakes

    • Submitting your manuscript to agencies and publishers

    Format

This is a hybrid workshop with a focus on writing craft and touching on industry information; it will be held in-person at State Library of Queensland and live streamed simultaneously to an online audience via Zoom.
