Silver Leaf Art Box is excited to present How We Rise, an experimental dance performance by Naarm/Melbourne based, queer artist and choreographer Zoë Bastin.
Join us to celebrate the premiere of this new iteration of Zoë's ongoing project Waves Are Disturbances. Working site responsively to the waves and coastal ecologies of Merricks Beach, How We Rise uses waves as a poetic allegory to consider ideas of consent and control in personal and political contexts.
In a compelling hour-long performance the dancers will traverse highly rigorous improvised choreography with original music composed and performed by Grace Ferguson.
