Join us to network with HR professionals and business leaders from corporate and community organisations and discover how you can boost workplace psychosocial safety and reduce risk.

This HR for Good session will help you to get up to speed on the essentials of psychosocial safety at work. Denise Sawkins will guide us through the legal framework to help deepen your understanding of the impact the new laws will have on the way we work. Following this, Tasha Broomhall will guide us through how to develop an ecosystem of psychological health and safety to reduce the risk of harm in your workplace.

This session is designed to empower your approach to addressing hazards and dealing with risk in your workplace in a human-centred way.

This will be an in person event, however, if you are unable to attend the live event we can arrange to set up a Microsoft TEAMS link for you to join via livestream.

This event is fully catered with vegan and gluten free options available.

Tasha Broomhall

Tasha Broomhall helps organisations and communities build positive psychological health and wellbeing and genuine inclusion. She holds a Masters of Science (Psychology) and is undertaking a PhD in Psychosocial safety, intersectional inclusion and institutional silence.

Tasha is a regular on ABC radio and her work has been recognised with the ICCWA Suicide Prevention Award, as a finalist in the LiFE Awards for Excellence in Suicide Prevention, twice as a finalist in the Mental Health Week Media Awards. She has been providing mental health and wellbeing programs throughout Australia for 20 years and is the founder and Editor in Chief of Blooming Minds magazine and the author of three books and two journals.

Denise Sawkins

Denise is the owner and lead consultant at SafetyTech which has been operating in WA for over 10 years. She has experience in a variety of industrial sectors from mining to manufacturing and more.

Denise is a qualified Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in the injury management space. She taught students at graduate and post graduate levels at ECU and wrote content for units on Injury Management and Ergonomics. She has worked with organisations to reduce their risk exposure to safety incidents and has an enviable track record in reducing Workers Compensation premiums.
