Event description

The World Lebanese Cultural Union of Sydney will be presenting its Annual HSC Distinguished Achievers Awards on 7th April 2022. This event has been staged for 35 years and honours those youth who have Lebanese ancestry, on either side of their family, who have achieved outstanding results in the 2021 HSC.

We would like to extend an invitation to all students of Lebanese ancestry who have received an ATAR of 90 and above, to attend the event. These students will be formally awarded a certificate of merit and a copy of Khalil Gibran’s book ‘The Prophet’. Any students who achieved an ATAR of 95+ will also receive a sterling silver WLCU coin, with the top students additionally receiving monetary awards.

We will also be presenting two President’s All Rounder Awards and the winners will also receive a WLCU silver coin. The winners will be chosen from the pool of all students who have applied, along with a consideration of achievements in, but not limited to, Community Service, Leadership, Sports and the Arts. Students wishing to nominate should do so by 25th March 2022 via the Nomination Form found on our website:  www.wlcusydney.org.au

While tickets are $100 per person, including a three-course meal and drinks, award recipients can attend for free.

This event takes on special significance as it serves to recognise the importance of empowering youth in our community. It is a tradition we are keen to work with you to maintain into the future.
