Grooves in the Garden presents: Matthew Logan Vasquez

Best-known as the co-founder and frontman for shape-shifting heartland indie rockers Delta Spirit, Matthew Logan Vasquez's fiery delivery and thought- provoking lyrics draw from a huge and versatile well of influences, including Gordon Gano, Kurt Cobain, Neil Young, and Thom Yorke . Asa solo artist, he juggles elements of indie rock, electronic pop, R&B, and soulfulAmericana, flirting with despondency, but ultimately succumbing to beatitude. Vasquez's latest release SANA SANA 2026 is pushing his sound into a broader spectrum and depth, trading in his rasp for more of a croon.

Grooves in the Garden: nano festival series

Bringing everything you love about festival season, right to your back door. Live music with the grass under your feet, the summer sun fading in the background, delicious grub from local food trucks, beer taps outside to keep you quenched and refreshed….and your best friends and neighbors right alongside…

This series, like our Soundcheck Series, gives touring and local artists an opportunity to share their music with you in an intimate experience, with a space designed for engagement and interaction, and supported by you, the listener.

As with our Soundcheck Series, 100% of ticket and merch sales go directly to the artist, helping to support their travel needs, recording costs, and supporting their ability to create art.
