Event description
Goldstone Gallery to extend an invitation to the opening of a landmark exhibition:
October 7: Atrocity, Antisemitism, and Resilience
Goldstone Gallery, 41 Derby Street, Collingwood, VIC 3066
Launch / Vigil: Tuesday, 7 October 2025
🕕 6:00am – Arrival at dawn
🕡 6:29am – Formalities begin with sirens, followed by an all-day vigil featuring speeches, victim name readings, poetry, and music, continuing until sunset at 7:30pm.
This museum-standard exhibition documents the atrocities of October 7, 2023, and the wave of antisemitism that followed in Australia. It brings together testimony, evidence, and artistic responses to provide an inclusive, non-political space for remembrance, truth, and dialogue.
At a time when the memory of October 7 is increasingly challenged, your presence would send a powerful message of solidarity with Australia’s Jewish community.
By attending, you will stand alongside community members, civic leaders, and allies in affirming the values of truth, resilience, and social cohesion.
Goldstone Gallery remains committed to confronting contemporary antisemitism and presenting urgent, thought-provoking exhibitions from silenced voices, with a particular focus on Jewish artists.
We would be honoured if you could join us on this significant day and lend your voice to ensure these events are neither forgotten, denied, nor distorted.
