'Dear Survivor' Poetry Exhibition
Event description
Dear Survivor is a powerful and deeply personal poetry exhibition created by Perth Poet and educator, Honor Teixeira.
Through spoken word, written poetry, and visual displays, this exhibition invites audiences into a safe and thought-provoking space to explore the realities of violence against women and the resilience that follows.
Divided into five thematic collections — Naming the Monster, Speak Up: Tell Your Story, A Fractured World, Acceptance and Healing, and New Beginnings — each piece illuminates a different facet of survival, recovery, and justice.
The exhibition also includes live spoken word performances by the artist and an interactive reflection wall where visitors are invited (if they choose) to share their own words of solidarity, healing, or remembrance.
This event aims to transform pain into poetry, silence into story, and art into advocacy.
