Celebration of Ikenobo Sydney chapter’s 30th anniversary commemorative ikebana exhibition
Description
We are delighted to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Ikenobo Sydney Chapter with a special commemorative event.
Headmaster Designate Senko Ikenobo will visit from Japan to present an Ikebana Exhibition and Special Demonstration in Sydney.
This event marks three decades of Ikenobo Ikebana in Sydney and celebrates the enduring cultural exchange between Japan and Australia through the art of flowers.
Officially recognised as a commemorative project of the 50th Anniversary of the Japan–Australia Basic Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, this event highlights the strong friendship between our two nations.
The ceremonial Ikebana exhibition and demonstration will be presented with the support of Professor Takashi Moribe, who will closely assist the Head Master Designate in both the artistic creation and presentation.
Together with Headmaster Designate Senko Ikenobo visiting from Japan, over 80 participants will travel to Australia for this special event. Sixty-five exhibitors from Japan, along with local Australian members, will presen about 100 ikebana arrangements throughout the gallery.
