FAQs
- What is Facilitation One Day Wonder (FODW)?
Facilitation One Day Wonder is Victoria’s annual participatory gathering for facilitators and people who work with groups.
Since 2007, FODW has brought people together to experiment, share ideas and explore better ways of creating connection, collaboration and collective movement through challenging times.
It’s a place to learn, contribute, meet others in the field and have some fun along the way. FODW is volunteer-run, not-for-profit and connected to the Victorian and Australian Facilitators Networks.
- What’s in Store
Expect a lively, participatory day designed for people who work with groups. The program begins with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, followed by an opening yarning circle to help us connect with the theme, with one another and with the practice of facilitation.
Across the afternoon, you’ll choose from two blocks of practical, experiential workshops exploring topics such as neuroscience, healthy relationships, trust, creative facilitation, people’s assemblies and decolonising ways of connecting. There will also be time for reflection, conversation and shared sensemaking.
This is not a sit-and-listen conference. Come ready to contribute, experiment and connect, and leave with fresh ideas for how we might walk together through challenging times. The day concludes with a social gathering at The Deck.
