Margaret Christianson travels up from Melbourne each year to capture some of the vivid and colourful light that draws many an artist north for WINTER.

May to August, Margaret spends time in Northern Queensland, where the landscapes and rich biodiversity inspire new paintings and sculptures. Through her work—whether in metal or paint— she aims to capture the beauty, resilience, and movement of the natural world.

Treat yourself to an atmospheric journey through beaches, waterfalls, National Parks and its wildlife to experience the travels of an artist who paints 'in situ' as much as possible.

Now you can have a conversation with an artist who wants to share her passion of the Queensland coast with you as she talks about her connection with an environment, her swims with the stingrays and frolics amongst the seaweeds.
