Elke’s debut single was released earlier in November and has had some amazing reviews from around the world, including these:

"Strong debut from Gympie's Elke Louie on 'Killing Time'. Lush, haunting indie folk that seeps deep into your soul. That chord shift & vocal slide during the chorus will get you every time - such a cool progression."

- The Point Music News, Australia

“The song’s dreamy and whispered spell is a brief but quietly compelling introduction to her art. "Killing Time" has that kind of soft proximity that makes you want to slow down and linger. Elke's voice is frail and strong at the same time, and it takes over in the song with pure truthfulness. Her delivery walks a fine line between openness and strength, as though she were opening up to anyone who has ever stood in the quiet moments of any life.”

SINGLE REVIEW - Hype Hub Magazine, USA

“An intimate, slow-burning folk debut from a rising Australian storyteller, Killing Time introduces Elke Louie with a quiet confidence, blending acoustic warmth and introspective lyricism into something soft yet deeply affecting. The song moves with an unhurried pulse, shaped by delicate fingerpicking and Elke’s unmistakably tender vocals. There is a sense of lived experience here, the kind that settles into every word, giving the track a calm emotional gravity that feels instantly inviting. it is the kind of debut that reveals an artist who has taken the time to refine her voice before stepping forward.”
