School Holiday Workshop for Teens (Make a Silver Ring)
Event description
At Jewellery Collective, we believe everyone has a creative spark. In this fun half day workshop, teens & tweens (ages 11-16) will learn to transform raw sterling silver into a one-of-a-kind ring - no prior jewellery experience required.
They'll work with professional tools in our fully equipped studio, learning essential jewellery techniques and creative design.

Time: 9.30 - 12pm
LEARN
How to measure the correct ring size and plan the amount of metal needed
Metal cutting (saw-piercing) and shaping techniques
Texturing: hammering, stamping, roller printing with leaves/art/fabric etc.
Soldering and annealing with a jeweller’s torch
Finishing and polishing to a matte finish or high shine
Optional patination (adding blackening or other finishes) for dramatic contrast
What’s included?
Sterling silver strip, practice metals (copper/brass), all consumables (saw blades, solder, polishing supplies), tools & equipment.
What to bring/wear: Enclosed shoes, long pants or skirts, hair tied back, lunch/snacks, notebook & pen, enthusiasm!
